da apostaganha: Sometimes transfer rumours don’t last very long in this business and after being linked with a move for Hearts midfielder Alex Tviolis, Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has immediately shut down the speculation.
da supremo: The Daily Record had reported the Ibrox boss met with the Greek international after Rangers’ win against Hearts on Saturday but it appears any talk of a move was not on the agenda after Caixinha brutally dismissed the rumour at a press conference today.
Caixinha has had to deal with a number of internal leaks from the Rangers camp in recent weeks. First there was the Michael O’Halloran incident, then there were reports of unrest due to pre-season plans.
Was this the Portuguese manager’s way of weeding out the leak at Ibrox?
Some Rangers fans certainly think so, many of whom also loved their manager’s forthright put down of the reports linking the midfielder to their club.
Supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the situation…
It’s perhaps also worth sparing a thought for this Hearts fan who, after half a season of watching Tziolis, was quite looking forward to seeing him make the switch to Glasgow.
